  1. Export is goods or services produced in 
  2. one country and sold to another. Exports may 
  3. be visible (goods such as cars physically 
  4. exported) or invisible (services such as 
  5. banking and tourism, that are provided in the 
  6. exporting country but paid for by residents 
  7. of another country).  The most significant UK 
  8. visible exports are oil and manufactured 
  9. goods (including semi-manufactured goods such 
  10. as steel as well as finished manufactured 
  11. goods such as cars). The UK is a net exporter 
  12. of oil through the exploitation of North Sea 
  13. reserves.
